A huge part of the experience at Technofunc is our use of music. We pride ourselves on bringing some of the best, freshest, and absolute bangers of music selections in all of our classes. Let us assure you, this does not happen by accident!. It is a long & complex journey getting these playlists together but a very rewarding one once we see it in action during our classes.
Firstly lets talk about our commitment to music. We know how music is a huge driver in extrinsic motivation and can turn an average workout into a super session. When you hear that beat drop it gives us that extra 20% push that we need to perform at our peak, this is a term known as peak arousal. Peak arousal is that point we reach where we are working as close to maximum effort as possible. During our Hype, Amplify and Complex classes this usually happens midway through our set. We target every track, every playlist in these classes to build in intensity to reach that moment of peak arousal during your sets. Is this process long? Heck Yes lol!. The process includes:
- Track selection
- Locating the beat drop
- Editing to fit the work and/or rest periods
- Levelling the sound
- Trialling with an exercise or class
*Now multiply that process by 32 to create a playlist that have enough tracks for 1 class to run approx. 20hrs work and more per playlist.
Now let’s talk about the rest period. Yes! We also create these tracks and they are designed to lower the heart rate and have lower BPM than the work period. This helps our mind connect to our body during the rest to lower heart rate, reset effort and output so when that work period comes back our body reacts quickly and we are ready to continue maximum effort.

The best part about our commitment to bringing the most advanced music and workout experience is that is has shown us that it increases your results. Our music works alongside your workout to enhance your mood and overall performance. Too often we see our athletes tired faces after working their butts off for the last 15 minutes. The moment we hear that killer beat drop or that mix of our favorite all time jam we just see the entire mood in the room change. That special moment happens countless times in each class and we love watching your performance game elevate and everyone kick it into a higher gear (especially when we bring out the dance moves during the rest period hahah).
