What does Techno Sports test you for?

  • Techno Sports is a functional all-body, strength, agility, and cardiovascular trial that tests you equally on all four disciplines.

What is a great score and what is a bad score?

  • There is no great, average, or bad score. What you achieve is a benchmark for your current functional strength and fitness.

What if I cannot complete any repetitions in a station?

  • You will still get a score; however, if you do not complete a repetition in more than 2 stations, you will not get a score.

Where can I do the test?

  • The dates and locations for these events will be updated on the events section of the website and posted to Technofunc Training's social media pages as they become available.

How much does it cost to compete in Techno Sports?

  • It is a one-off fee of $59 to compete in the Sports. All you need to do is register and turn up on the day.

How long does each Techno Sports take to complete?

  • It takes under 10 minutes per category to complete the 8 stations involved in the sports.

How long do I stay in each station?

  • For time: You stay in the station for 40 seconds and complete as many repetitions as possible, then have a 35-second rest as you change stations to complete the next.

  • For reps: You stay in the station and complete all the required repetitions before you change stations to complete the next.

How do I submit a team to compete in Techno Sports?

  • All members of your team must register as individuals to be allocated an official registration number. Once all members have their registration number, visit the "Register a Team" page and enter your chosen team name and each individual's registration number.

How does participating in a team work?

  • Each member of the team completes the circuit. The score of your team at the end is based on the average score of every member in your team per station.

When do I arrive and how long do I need to prepare?

  • We suggest arriving early to prepare and warm up adequately and to see other competitors. Allow at least 30 minutes before your start time. If you are unhappy with your score, speak to staff at Registration to sign up again for another attempt.

Can I compete more than once?

  • Yes, you can complete the test as many times as you like at a single event. However, note that we do not take your best score; we take your final attempt.

Who wins prizes?

  • There will be trophies, medals, and prize money for the Elite Individual categories, and medals and prize money for the Elite Team categories.

Can I get involved with assisting Techno Sports during the event?

  • Absolutely! We encourage everyone to get involved. Speak to the studio manager to find out how you can assist.

When are the finals?

  • Finals are generally held on a Sunday between 10 am-3 pm. Any Elite Individual or Elite Team in the top scorers must be at the activation at the time of the finals to compete. If you are not at the activation at this time, you will forfeit your spot.

Can we change or add a team member during the Techno Sports event?

  • Yes, you can change or add a team member during the Techno Sports event trial period. However, your team must be finalized by the end of the trials. No changes are allowed after the trials close. All final team members must be confirmed before the close of trials to compete in the Techno Sports team finals day.

If my team makes the finals, but one or more team members cannot compete due to unavailability or injury, can we substitute team members during the finals?

  • No. Once the finals are decided by the Techno Sports team, all team members must be available to compete. If not, you forfeit your position in the finals.

 Are there any individual or team finals?

  • Yes, there are individual and team finals at the Techno Sports competition.

How do I claim my prize?

  • If you are part of a winning team or an individual winner, Technofunc HQ will tally all scores after the event and award any prize money, trophies, and medals during the awards ceremony on the day.

What categories can I enter?

  • There are four categories available at Techno Sports:

    • For Time: Point-based

    • Race to Win: Rep-based

    • Team: Team score average, consisting of 3 males or females

    • Rig Battle: Rep-based
