We all know this time sucks right now. Just as we seem to be getting ahead on our fitness and kicking some goals our lives are stopped and we must continue the journey at home.

So we can either throw our hands up in the air and give up OR we can not only survive the storm but dominate it!.

So today I am going to share my best tips on making yourself a fitness boss in this lockdown.

Tip 1- Create a workout space you enjoy using.

*Make a space you can use each day and create a positive environment. Put up some posters, saying’s , Fitness idols, quotes something to make it appeal to your workout. The more organised the space is the better!

Tip 2- Eliminate Distractions

*Your workout may be the only time of the day you get to yourself. You should NOT have to share it with distractions. Get rid of the phone for the hour or place it on mute and put a sign on the door so the family knows this is your time.

Tip 3- Remember your fitness basics. Warm up, cool-down and stretch. DON’T FORGET YOUR FORM AND TECHNIQUE.

*Sometimes if we are rushing our session at home we forget the basics that we do in the gym. Make time for a proper warm-up and stretch. Your body will thank you for it. #1 rule- REMEMBER your form. This must be practiced at all times.

 

Tip 4- Put on your gym gear and pick some good tunes

*Its pretty incredible how putting on your gym clothes and listening to some of your favourite beats can change your mindset when working out.

 

Tip 5- Stream some Pro sessions on YouTube for ideas.

*Its interesting to see what some other people around the world are doing for their home workouts. YouTube has some different fitness methods and ideas out there. Do some research and investigating some weekly Vlogs are always a good idea especially when one of our own has their own channel!.

Tip 6- Be active and accountable in the Techno Community.

Our community is bigger, stronger and more active than ever before. Get amongst it in these difficult times. Video your workout and post it on the survival page. Comment on posts and complete the daily challenges. It makes lockdown go so much quicker.
